Hangman a personal art project (Camera Mapping for art)
HangmanHangman is a creative project where I used an image made by an AI and turned it into a video using camera mapping techniques. If you're curious about how I did it, I invite you to watch the behind-the-scenes video where I explain my process.
Please note that the video contains graphic content, but it is important to clarify that this is not about killing or violence. Instead, it is an artistic exploration and interpretation of the yin and yang dichotomy, showcasing the contrasting elements and their harmony. Viewer discretion is advised, as some visuals may be intense, but the primary focus is on conveying a profound artistic message rather than promoting any violent themes.

Using mid journeys ai to generate a futuristic train station camera map.Experience the magic behind the scenes of my latest short film project. Commissioned to create a captivating scene, I employed cutting-edge Mid Journey AI to craft the imagery, then meticulously dissected it into layers using Photoshop. Leveraging Cinema 4D, I meticulously constructed the geometry for projection, bringing my vision to life. With the power of Redshift, I rendered every detail to perfection, while Davinci Resolve 18 added the final touches and immersive sound design. Dive into the process and witness the seamless fusion of technology and creativity in action.

Organic Paws (Camera Mapping & VFX for advertisement)
Organic Paws "Bottle in the forest" social media advertisementThe client wanted better photos of their product, so I gave them two options: they could send me the actual product, or we could create a 3D version of it. We went with the 3D option. After we made the digital version of the product, we designed a few different scenes to showcase it. One of these scenes was focused on showing that the product uses natural ingredients. The client sent me a voice recording to go along with the visuals, as they wanted to use it for an ad on social media, specifically on the Meta platform.

Behind the scenes "The Making Of"In this project, I took a photo of a forest into photoshop, broke down the layers, then re-projected it onto similarly placed geometry planes inside of cinema 4d. Usually, I use projection man, but I noticed it didn't work with redshift. So I exported each of the layers and did a UV workflow. I then used Real Flow to simulate the fluid using the D-spline Daemon to guide the path. Finally, I used the forester plugin to bring it all together with vegetation and a few high-quality rocks the amount of clones I needed I opted to use the matrix object with Redshift. I appreciate you watching my process.

What are VFX (Visual Effects)?
VFX, or Visual Effects, refer to the process of creating, manipulating, or enhancing visual elements in film, television, video games, and other media using digital technology. VFX can range from simple enhancements like color correction to more complex tasks like creating realistic explosions, fantastical creatures, and entire digital environments. These effects are often used to add visual spectacle, realism, or imaginative elements that may be impractical or impossible to capture during filming. VFX artists use specialized software and techniques to seamlessly integrate these elements into the final visual presentation, enhancing the overall visual storytelling.
What is Camera Mapping?
Camera mapping, also known as projection mapping or camera projection, is a technique used in visual effects and 3D graphics to turn a 2D photo or image into a 3D scene. This process involves "projecting" the image onto 3D geometry, effectively creating the illusion that the flat image is part of a three-dimensional environment.
In the context of turning a photo into footage, camera mapping involves analyzing the perspective and geometry of the photo and then applying it to a 3D virtual scene. This allows the flat photo to become part of the scene, giving the appearance of depth and dimension. This technique is often used in filmmaking and animation to create realistic backgrounds or environments that are cost-effective and efficient compared to building physical sets or locations. It's a powerful way to blend 2D and 3D elements seamlessly and achieve a convincing visual result.
